hellocatfood+mxwx+The Animalizer

Antonio Roberts (aka hellocatfood) and Maria Witek (aka mxwx) use Troop and TidalCycles to collaboratively live code experimental techno, pursuing a high energy aesthetic that is both heavy and groovy. In this algorave performance, they are joined by visualist Patrick Valiquet (aka The Animalizer), whose live videos in Pure Data and Gem explore the behaviour of complex zoological avatars in impossible environments.

Maria Witek is a Polish-Norwegian music scientist working in Birmingham. She live codes dance music partly informed by her academic research, which investigates the relationship between rhythm, body-movement and affect.

Antonio Roberts is an artist and musician based in Birmingham. For his audiovisual performances he uses software including Pure Data and TidalCycles to explore the creative potential of algorithms, glitches, and feedback loops.

Patrick Valiquet is a music historian, musician and live coder living in Birmingham. He makes algorithmic video in Pure Data.
